We Must Reform Employment-based Immigration System to Keep Best and Brightest Foreign-born Innovators in America, Tweets President Obama
During a Twitter Town Hall yesterday, President Barack Obama, in response to a question on how immigrants build companies and create jobs, tweeted:
@WhiteHouse Obama: Working w/ biz, others, on ways to streamline visas so we don't educate people then make them leave to compete against us...
We wholeheartedly agree with the President, but this is just one part of the solution. To retain America’s worldwide innovation leadership, we must permanently fix the entire U.S. green card and visa systems for highly educated, foreign-born professionals.
And the President is just one voice in a chorus of bipartisan leaders speaking out in support of much-needed reforms to fix our broken employment-based immigration system so that we remain atop the 21st century global economy.
